Bangalore, July 17 – The Tamil Nadu Para Athletics Sub-Junior and Junior Team has made history by securing third place at the All India Sub-Junior and Junior Para Athletics Championship, organized by the Tamil Nadu Para Olympic Sports Association.
Held in Bangalore from July 15 to 17, the championship saw the participation of over 800 para athletes from across India. A total of 42 athletes represented Tamil Nadu in various track and field events, including the 100m, 200m, 400m, 1500m, long jump, high jump, shot put, discus, and javelin throw. Events were contested across multiple disability categories.
The Tamil Nadu team delivered an exceptional performance, winning a total of 42 medals:
